چکیده
Basic properties of gauge theories in the framework Faddeev-Popov (FP) method, Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) formalism, and functional renormalization group (FRG) approach are considered. The FP BV quantizations characterized by Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) symmetry, while BRST symmetry is broken FRG approach. It shown that can be provided with Slavnov-Taylor identity, Ward modified respectively. proven using background field method invariance effective action within quantization procedures achieved nonlinear gauges. gauge-dependence problem FP, BV, studied. متن کاملIntroduction to Renormalization Group and Ward Identities in Critical Phenomena and in Fermi and Bose Liquids
We review some of the main applications of the renormalization-group technique in condensed matter physics. The first relevant example is the description of critical phenomena. Here perturbation theory is affected by singularities, which are a consequence of the long-ranged character of the dominant fluctuations when approaching criticality. The use of renormalization group allows to sum up the...

An expansion based on renormalization group methods for the spin correlation function in the z direction of the Heisenberg-Ising XY Z chain with an external magnetic field directed as the z axis is derived. Moreover, by using the hidden symmetries of the model, we show that the running coupling constants are small, if the coupling in the z direction is small enough, that a critical index appear...
متن کاملRenormalization Group, Hidden Symmetries and Approximate Ward Identities in the Xyz Model, I
Using renormalization group methods, we study the Heis-enberg-Ising XY Z chain in an external magnetic field directed as the z axis, in the case of small coupling J 3 in the z direction. We study the asymptotic behaviour of the spin space-time correlation function in the direction of the magnetic field and the singularities of its Fourier transform. The work is organized in two parts. In the pr...
متن کاملGauge Dependence of Effective Action and Renormalization Group Functions in Effective Gauge Theories
The Caswell-Wilczek analysis on the gauge dependence of the effective action and the renormalization group functions in Yang-Mills theories is generalized to generic, possibly power counting non renormalizable gauge theories. It is shown that the physical coupling constants of the classical theory can be redefined by gauge parameter dependent contributions of higher orders in “hbar” in such a w...
